HUGE UPDATE -
The 360Controller driver has JUST been updated to work with the guitar. Talk about coincidence, huh? Thanks, Colin!
Just like almost any other USB device, this fantastic guitar for the Xbox 360 works on Macs. The trick? Just like almost any other gaming pad, it requires a driver. Up to this date, if you wanted to use an Xbox 360 gaming pad, you used the 360Controller driver — mostly because Microsoft didn’t take the time to create a driver for the Mac, just like they did on the PC. Now we can rock with Frets on Fire and our Macs.

USB Overdrive X. This is another option as a driver — the $20-dollar app basically adds support to most USB input devices — including the 360 guitar. But the curious thing is that this app didn’t pick up the guitar, until I fired up Frets on Fire and assigned the game’s keys to it.

Frets on Fire. If you’ve played Guitar Hero (of course you did, since you have the guitar!), you know it’s one extremely fun game. Frets on Fire only extends the fun since it’s possible to add your own songs into the game, and even rips the songs from the Guitar Hero games (only tested in PS2 versions). But if you have neither the games or the guitar, you can still download Frets on Fire and have a lot of fun by using an external keyboard as the guitar — best if it’s wireless.
UPDATE –
The main page of the Frets on Fire game seems to be missing the latest Mac game file. You can find all existing game files, including past versions, by clicking here. I recommend you try the latest available version, and if it doesn’t work, use the version before that (my MacBook Pro only works for some reason with the oldest version).

The .pkg in what file? For support it’d be better if you contacted the developers.
