Want to try out Mailplane?

Mailplane is a fantastic desktop app for managing your Gmail account(s), as you may have already read. I have in my possession five — and only five — invites for its closed beta. If you want one, just be one of the first five people to let me know in the comments below. If you’re not lucky enough to post one of the five comments, you can still apply for the beta at the official website.

I’ve been using Mailplane for a while now, but I just today switched back to Mail.app, simply because of its simplicity and my need to receive mail from other, IMAP accounts. Mailplane just wasn’t a good fit for me.

I love Gmail but I don’t think Mailplane is for me. Like Moriartity, I don’t want multiple apps for multiple mail accounts. Mail.app is more than enough for my email needs.
