Transmission had been in a pre-1.0 state for such a long time that some may have wondered whether we were ever going to see its proper version finally released. Granted, those releases still oozed with quality from its fantastic — yet simple — interface, which is exactly what made it such a big success. Now that its 1.0 release is finally here, I fully recommend it for everyone who downloads torrents to give it a download and try it out for themselves (if you don’t have it, already).
