Apple has confirmed that they’re holding a special media event in their campus this upcoming Tuesday, August 7th. Many have pinpointed specific rumors to become a reality in this date. Here are the top seven expected things we may see in this event.

7. New Mac minis
Improbable. But still… they haven’t been updated for a while.
6. iTunes update
Depends on whether new iPods or enhancements to iTunes are in that day’s order.
5. New iPods
But no one’s sure if they’ll be phone-less iPhones or the design we’ve all grown to love.
4. New iLife/iWork
Still MIA after seven months. Is this the moment we’ve been waiting for?
3. New iMacs
The idea of redesigned, aluminum iMacs sounds great. And if these photos of a new Apple keyboard are to be believed…
2. Lots of hype
Thanks to Steve’s reality distortion field!
1. Steve Job’s turtleneck
Wait a sec… is this the source of his powers?

I’m pretty sure this event will be “All Mac, all the time”, so no new iPods.

Yes, Apple owes us from the Mac-less MacWorld this past January!

There are stories / rumours about Apple having other new things to release, things we haven’t even thought of properly (although some things have been rumoured about for ages) that are brand new to Apple, like the iPhone was. Maybe:
- gaming console.
- tablet Mac.
- Apple TV+, now with in-built TiVo abilities.
- a home security / alarm set-up
- Apple Airlines, including trips into space.
- FREE Apple equipment for everyone – a whooe year to order one of whatever Apple equipment you like and pay nothing – one iPod, one dekstop Mac, one laptop, one iPhone, …
The most likely is the new iMacs … but personally I think that “new keyboard”, although unfinished, looks like rubbish and appears to be like the awful Apple IIc ‘chicklet’ keyboard that was a failure for most people.
