Apple has announced a price drop for the current 1GB iPod shuffle, now at $49. Also, a new 2GB shuffle will soon be available to purchase at $69. With these price drops, Apple has finally gone down the $50 and $70 marks, respectively, possibly opening new marketing opportunities for the little iPods. At either price, it’s now more affordable than ever to buy an extremely compact music player.
