There was no major event as rumored. There was no warning that could have saved the world from an updated desktop line by Apple: new Mac Pros, new iMacs, and new Mac minis.

The new Mac Pros feature the new Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processors; the high-end iMacs feature new NVIDIA graphics chips from the GeForce GT 100 series; and the Mac mini has been upgraded to NVIDIA components too, just like the aluminum MacBooks.
And surprisingly enough, those leaks about a Mac mini with dual display ports that hit the web not so long ago turned out to be real.
The prices for all new desktops remain relatively the same — the unique exception being that the 24-inch iMac now starts from $1499.
Think that was it? Not really, since Apple also gave the mid and high-end 15-inch MacBook Pros a slight speed increase. And oddly enough, there now seems to be a wired version of the small Apple keyboard.
