Sure, it’s not uncommon to see a variety of application lists on the web — but how about a list featuring great icons and/or screensavers for your Mac? Now that’s uncommon. So I present to you a list I compiled of some of the most attractive ones, courtesy of Apple.com. Just pay attention: some are free, and others aren’t (unfortunately).
Icons
:: Sci-Fi Icons :: An assortment of various icons honoring science fiction.
:: Family Guy Icons :: The TV show that came back from the dead, and now more popular than ever — now in icons!
:: The Mac Creative Icons :: As the name suggests, creative mac icons — featuring many Macs and more.
:: OS X Solar System Icons :: The planets from our solar system in icon form.
:: iPod Family Icons :: The iPod family in icons.
:: Magnum Opus Icons :: Apple’s historical creations, now immortalized as icons. (Not free, unfortunately)
:: World of Warcraft Icons :: The great and addictive Blizzard game in icon form.
:: Lost Icons :: Icons taken off from one little TV show called “Lost”.
:: Eye Candy Icons :: Many of the system’s icons when given an overhaul.
:: TiCons :: Many of the system’s icons when given a titanium redesign.
:: Symbols :: Various symbols that have been aqua-fied.
:: Cars Icons :: Icons from Pixar’s summer movie.
:: iComic Icons :: System icons — comic style.
Screensavers
:: Marine Aquarium Screensaver :: Turn your inactive Mac into a wonderful 3D aquarium. (Not free, unfortunately)
:: Plasma Tunnel Screensaver :: Takes your Mac into a voyage through a 3D plasma tunnel.
:: Hyperspace Screensaver :: Not exactly like Star Trek’s hyperspace, but still an amazing screensaver.
:: Enjoy Milk Screensaver :: Not as what you may guess from the name, this fills your screen with classic effects from the 90’s.
:: DashSaver :: Not exactly a screensaver, but what it does is bring up your widget-filled Dashboard after a determined period of inactivity. May be handy for keeping up with the weather, stocks, and such.
:: The 3D Matrix Code Screensaver :: Definitely one of the coolest screensavers around. It displays the now classic Matrix code in 3D. (Not free, unfortunately)
:: IdleWeb Screensaver :: As recently dugg, it allows web pages to be displayed as a screensaver. Definitely great when linked to great ones like digg labs’ swarm.
:: ShuffleSaver :: This screensaver takes your favorite images from Flickr and iPhoto, then shuffles them.
:: Space Wars 3D Screensaver :: Various spaceships in full 3D glory. (Not free, unfortunately)
For those who want more than just a screensaver
:: SETI@home :: You get a screensaver, plus your inactive computer helps search for extraterrestrial life!
:: Folding@Home :: Just like the last, except this time your computer helps in protein folding, misfolding, and related issues. Help fight some diseases!

Try looking over at Apple’s Software page — they have great links to various apps throughout the web. Hope this answers your question.
