Free: Scrivener Gold

I bet that by now many within the Mac community have heard about a little app called Scrivener. It’s really quite an awesome app — perfect for creative writing projects, whether it’s a humble story, or a Hollywood movie script. But something that’s been noticed is that many may frown upon the $35 price tag.

That’s where Scrivener Gold comes in. It’s actually an early beta version of Scrivener that’s been made available for free. That way, if you’re not a pro writer, you can still have a slightly watered-down app that gets the job done for the price — free. And who knows? Maybe you’ll eventually find the real version worthwhile once you’ve tried it out.

This looks as though it would be greatly appreciated by a writer not yet making big bucks on an old Mac.
