You’ve already seen the five essential apps for Mac students. But why stop there? Nobody said there should only be five apps for students to rely on. That’s why the list is expanding — so here are five more apps that students could use.

Assignment Planner. This is by far the easiest way to track any school work thanks to its great cataloguing and management options. I think this pretty much sums the app up.

Typinator. Typing down notes from lectures is already faster than writing for most. But if you still want to speed the process, this app can expand a sequence of characters or abbreviations into complete words or even phrases. Not to mention that its included spelling checker can correct commonly misspelled words.

sidenote. This little note-taker resides hidden in the edges of your screen, which can be summoned quite easily for when taking down a quick note or two that you want to keep fresh in mind.

Cha-Ching. The most amazing money manager available for the Mac. Everything from its ability to manage accounts, budgets and bills — all contained within a great UI — makes it the perfect choice for students who have troubles finding out where all their money went (and how stop that from happening again!).

Sente. Its iTunes-like interface will help a lot when browsing the app for formatted citations and bibliographies. This one is a blessing for when you’ve just finished typing up that big assignment.
Special thanks to everyone who everyone who gave feedback in the last Mac student post!
