First iPhone apps at Steve’s Keynote

As the title mentions, at least that was the thought that crossed everyone’s mind when it was said that the iPhone SDK (same for the iPod touch) may already be in the hands of some select developers.

If you remember several years back, when the switch to Intel chips was first announced at one of Steve’s keynotes, some select developers had already ported their apps to Universal binaries in order to demo them at the event. It’s perfectly reasonable to think that Apple may want some good iPhone apps to demo at the upcoming MacWorld Expo in January. But which would be the ideal apps to show? More specifically, which developers may have been chosen? Most probably, it’d be developers who have won an Apple Design Award in the past. Just use your imagination.

As a side note, if a report I received is to be believed, it states that one of the featured demos will be a portable Delicious Library. Now that’d be more fun to carry around than having it solely in your Mac!

My contract with Sprint will be up in April, just in time for these new apps. I hope a 3G iPhone will be available by then.

A 3G iPhone is pretty much confirmed now since AT&T’s chief let it slip that we’ll see one in 2008. The question is… exactly when in 2008?
