If you follow Wil Shipley’s Twitter feed, you might have already noticed a small surprise — a link to download an app that goes by the name of Delicious Library 2. Yes, the much-anticipated second version of Delicious Library is finally available for the first time to the public — only through a Twitter link, at the moment. And it’s not only available for download — you can also purchase it via the integrated store in the app. Interestingly enough, not even the app’s website shows the availability of the new version, as of when this was posted.

But enough chit chat! Where is the download link? Well, I won’t spoil the download link. Go to the main man’s tweet by clicking here, and try out Delicious Library 2 for yourself. Right now, you can buy the full version at $30, or upgrade from the last version at $15. Both prices are, without a doubt, promotional.

Some things worth noticing upon download is that Delicious Library has a new icon — even considerably different from the beta. And it’s also an application from the future! That last part is true, because as soon as you launch it, it tells you that in order for it to run smoothly it requires Mac OS 10.5.3 — which is not available via Apple’s Software Update, as of this time. But even without that latest version, it runs perfectly in my “old” 10.5.2.

Congratulations to Delicious Monster for finally unleashing this fantastic app when the public expected it least, and through the means least expected (Twitter).

UPDATE X3 - The final version has launched in the app’s website. (Some people have noted that you may have to empty the browser’s cache to see the changes in the website)
