Apple adds new iPhone and iPod touch models

Available today through the Apple Store, new models of the iPhone and iPod touch have been added. The new iPhone has a 16GB capacity and costs $499; the new iPod touch has a 32GB capacity and also costs $499. They seem to be no different from the other models still available at the same price, except that these are most likely to carry the newest firmware. If you had been holding out on buying one because of capacity limitations, this is an improvement — although it’s still no match for the iPod classic.

If they could’ve brought in the higher-capacity models at the same price as the current ones, and dropped the prices on those by $100, now that would’ve been something!

Yeah, that would’ve been much better. But maybe this is a half-way release until new models arrive after mid-year, as usual. *sigh*
