Just like the previously-reviewed Travel Case, the Suede Jacket is targeted at a specific user because of its unique design and implementation. Let’s have a look.

Much like what is to be expected out of Waterfield Designs, the Suede Jacket has a lot of quality to it. The jacket itself may be a simple pouch for the iPhone — much like Apple’s iPod socks from the past. The black fabric in which it’s made feels durable, and the stitching is, as always, top-notch from Waterfield — something that will make sure the jacket endures all your travels.

A great feature that the Suede Jacket has is a secondary pouch stitched into the front, which is more than perfect to hold your headphones, or whatever comparable use you may think of.

And while the jacket may offer some kind of protection, the fabric isn’t thick enough to guarantee that your iPhone will survive beatings to it. Just by taking the iPhone inside the case on my daily routine I could tell that the case is built more as a defense against scratches than anything else.

Something that is notably missed is a clipping system of some kind, because just as the jacket is, you’re limited to carry it around either inside your pocket or in a bag.

But yes, the name tells it all — this is not a case, but a jacket for your iPhone. Personally, I found it to be the best one to have with me since I always carry the iPhone in my pocket, and its thinness makes it a perfect fit.
