We’re not even past the first half of 2008, and it already looks like it’s going to be yet another memorable year for Apple. If all goes as rumored, the best stuff is in store for June — at WWDC, to be exact. Find out what we may see one of Apple’s biggest events.

No vacancy. Did you hear? This year’s WWDC has become the first one that has sold out! Is it a coincidence that it happened as soon as the full force of iPhone development is about to kick in?
The keynote. As always, the only real prediction that has a 99.9% chance of being true, is that Steve Jobs will deliver an exciting keynote to an enthusiastic crowd as he wears jeans and a black turtleneck. What other things will be shown off?
New iPhones. With every person, analyst, inside source, leaked document, or CEO talking about the iPhone’s next model-to-be, it’s not even a rumor anymore — the new iPhone is coming. There’s no question about that. But whether the new iPhone will be just demoed, or also go on sale at a time around WWDC — that is the real question. Also, Apple may pull it out to give it its own dedicated event before or after WWDC.
App demos. Just like when some quick demos were shown at the iPhone’s SDK premiere, more developers are expected to be invited onstage to show their own creations during Steve’s keynote. I’ve had constant tips coming to my inbox about the possibility of ADA-winning developers being invited to do so at this past MacWorld — will it be true, this time?
App Store. With the iPhone’s SDK expected to leave beta at WWDC, alongside the 2.0 software release, the App Store is expected to launch and start selling the first iPhone apps before June ends.
Apple Design Awards. The highest honor between Mac developers are those little cubes that are handed out each year — the ADA trophies. With so much quality apps released in the past year for the Mac, and the addition of iPhone categories, this year’s ceremony is set to shine and surprise.
